Deadly new high emerges ahead of legal drugs ban

A DEADLY new legal high branded Europe’s “crystal meth” has been formulated by chemists ahead of the Government’s ban on legal drugs sold in head shops.

The drug, naphyrone, is a stimulant, similar to the legal substance mephedrone, which is set to be banned in Britain in the coming weeks, and here in June.

Dr John Cryan, pharmacologist at the School of Pharmacy in University College Cork said he was very concerned about the availability of drugs such as naphyrone.
