THE Road Safety Authority (RSA) has admitted there are differences in how caravans are being tested for roadworthiness around the country.

The RSA is proposing a standardised test after it emerged that some caravans are being tested at National Car Test centres, while others were being examined at Commercial Vehicle Test centres.

An RSA spokesperson confessed yesterday that there was a certain level of confusion on the issue because of the way such vehicles are classified.
