Brady admits probe into Armagh priest

CARDINAL Seán Brady confirmed yesterday that a parish priest in his diocese is at the centre of a child protection investigation.

The head of the Catholic Church in Ireland said the priest had agreed to take leave from his ministry.

Cardinal Brady announced his decision to ask the priest to take leave from his ministry after celebrating Mass in the parish concerned. The parish has not been identified and the cardinal posted his statement on the Armagh diocesan website.
