Poisons Centre calls surge over legal highs

THE National Poisons Information Centre has experienced a surge in calls from emergency departments relating to legal highs on sale in head shops.

Based in Beaumont Hospital, the centre provides information to doctors and healthcare professionals on the management of acute poisoning.
