Care home gave patient the wrong dentures
In addition, a number of residents at Kilminchy Lodge Nursing Home, Dublin Road, Portlaoise, were observed by inspectors from the Health Information and Quality Authority (HIQA) wearing soiled clothing and footwear.
Inspectors also raised concerns that some residents had experienced significant weight loss. Weight records were reviewed and when inspectors brought one resident’s weight loss to the attention of the person in charge, she expressed shock, “but didn’t offer an explanation” the report said.
