Galway gets 1,000 new jobs

GALWAY got a massive jobs boost last night when the green light was given to the redevelopment of the city’s main shopping centre, creating more than 1,000 jobs.

An Bord Pleanála gave the go-ahead for the €240 million redevelopment of the Galway Shopping Centre.

Marks & Spencer and Debenhams will join Tesco and Penneys in the new development.
