Family forced to pay €6k to gang after reign of terror, court told

LIMERICK criminals waged a reign of intimidation on the family of a man found by gardaí carrying drugs belonging to the gang.

Although the confiscated drugs were worth about €2,600, the family was forced to pay back €6,000 to the gang, Limerick District Court heard.

Due to the level of intimidation, the family had to move home and were told if they did not pay up €6,000 they would be “minus a child”.
