Unskilled workers bear the brunt of European job losses

UNSKILLED workers continue to account for most job losses in the country, while employment has increased for those with third-level education.

The trend to save jobs by moving to part-time working has also increased with Ireland having the second highest increase in part-time employment as a percentage of the overall.

Throughout the EU where joblessness has reached record levels there was a rise in employment among those with high-level qualifications.
