Boy with pellet gun threatens park rangers

ONE of Limerick’s biggest children’s playgrounds, in the People’s Park, had to be closed after a boy aged about 11 threatened park rangers and children with a revolver-like pellet gun.

Limerick City Council, which runs the park, confirmed an incident happened and it was now a matter for the gardaí.

One parent said that after being confronted by a park ranger, the boy told the ranger: “I’ll blow your f**king head off.”
