PUPILS at the a school in Bandon got a surprise visit yesterday from two men they hope will be instrumental in bringing the Sam Maguire cup back to Cork after a lapse of 19 years.

James Masters and John Miskella were mobbed by young Rebel fans when they visited the Coláiste na Toirbhirte (Presentation Convent) secondary school at lunchtime yesterday.

Local children would know James Masters quite well, as he can be seen regularly walking the beat in the area since being recently appointed the local community garda.
