Labour: Greens for people or FF?

THE Green Party faces a choice between standing up for the people of Ireland or for “Fianna Fáil and their property friends” when they vote on the NAMA plan, Labour leader Eamon Gilmore told a group protesting against the plan outside the Dáil yesterday.

He addressed a couple of hundred people who gathered to express their opposition to NAMA at lunchtime yesterday, before Finance Minister Brian Lenihan delivered his speech to the House explaining how it would work.

The demonstration was much smaller than expected, despite having the support of the Labour Party and some trade unions, including SIPTU.
