Gardaí in talks for golf club

GARDAÍ in Limerick may have their own golf course if talks with a long established club succeed.

The Garda Sports and Social Club has initiated talks with the Limerick County Golf Club at Ballyneety on a possible purchase of the facility.

The Garda club made what is believed a very considerable profit when it sold its club premises in Sexton Street last year to the Department of Education.
