Plans to move civil servants are ‘causing chaos’
Speaking at an Institute of Public Administration’s (IPA) National Conference in Dublin yesterday ESRI research professor John FitzGerald hit out at the decentralisation programme which the Government has been forced to freeze after originally planning to move nearly 10,300 public and civil servants.
New figures also released yesterday reveal that over a quarter of civil servants are still waiting to move under different departments. Another quarter are also still not assigned places under the controversial programme.
