John 3:7 reunited with stolen sign

SPORTSGROUND evangelist Frank Hogan has been reunited with his John 3:7 sign.

John 3:7 reunited with stolen sign

Frank, 70, was returning from the Tyrone and Kildare football game at Croke Park when the famous sign was taken from the Limerick bound train when it stopped at Kildare. Frank has now recovered the sign. Kildare gardaí located it after the sign was left in a public place. But Frank’s famous biblical message still bobbed up and down on a Croke Park terrace last weekend with the help of the back-up sign he has.

Frank, who lives in Castletroy, said: “I got a message from the gardaí [in] Kildare that they had located the sign... I am very grateful to them.” The story of the stolen sign was carried widely in the media. Mr Hogan has been bearing his sign at sports grounds around the country for the past 24 years.
