More complaints over Cork man as bogus doctor jailed

A NUMBER of women have made fresh allegations against a man jailed for six years yesterday for posing as a doctor and putting his fiancée’s life at risk by pretending to treat her for a serious illness.

However, it is understood gardaí are investigating only one other case involving Corkman Michael Ward.

The 32-year-old from Clash Road, Little Island, was jailed at the Central Criminal Court after pleading guilty to depriving his then fiancée of medical treatment on dates between August and October 2006. He also pleaded guilty to assaulting the woman causing her harm.
