Punters return from H2O-soaked Oxegen

YOU wouldn’t have been half wrong thinking the ploughing championships had come to the capital yesterday.

Wellie-wearing punters stepped off buses, full of cheer, bearing muddy rain jackets and laden with picnic and camping equipment. It was the brightly coloured stetsons, guitars and beer-swilling travellers that gave it away though.

The Oxegen exodus from Punchestown had begun following for many what was three nights and four days of music, dancing, fun and... plenty of rain.
