Kenny fury at Cowen’s ‘cop out’ on judges
He accused the Taoiseach of lacking the political backbone to make the senior judiciary surrender the levy along with 300,000 other public servants.
Mr Kenny warned that it was unacceptable judges had been exempted when gardaí, nurses and teachers were being left with just €90 a week to live on because of the swingeing level of taxes imposed following the economic plunge.
