A COMMUNITY united in grief yesterday paid a moving farewell to an Irish couple killed in a car crash in the US.

The Church of St John the Baptist, in Causeway, Co Kerry, was full to overflowing for the funeral Mass of Joe O’Connell, 50, and his wife, Anne, 44, whose three orphaned children led the mourners.

The children – Sarah, 15, Colman, 13, and Meave, 10 – were supported by family members from Kerry and Galway.
