Dear President Obama...

I REALLY should have begun this letter with Dear Barack. I feel I can call you by your first name because I have known you quite intimately for so long. I have known you all your life.

Dear President Obama...

I was the one who allowed you to draw your first breath. I have been with you everyday. On your very first day of school, I was there. I attended your graduation. The day you met your beautiful wife, Michelle, I was by your side. I was there that moment you finally decided to run for President of the United States of America. I was present during your entire campaign. I remember fondly the address you made to the large, eager crowd at Grant Park in Chicago during your campaign. If I had not been there, all of those people would have been denied the privilege of hearing those inspiring words. I carried your words out to your people. On the day of your inauguration, when the American flag was raised I kept it flying. I was with you then, and I am with you now.

You and others, Barack, do not realise how powerful I am and what an ally you have in me. Without me, living things great and small could not survive for even a few minutes. They need me around so they can breathe, and they also need me in order to hear. I am vital to the survival of our planet. Without me there is no planet. When God created me, he created me as one of the most powerful forces on earth.
