THE value of having good neighbours in challenging times was underlined by President Mary McAleese as she launched a “get to know your neighbour” weekend.

The President was speaking at the launch of Macra na Feirme’s 2009 Know Your Neighbour weekend which will run on July 11 and 12.

The President said the initiative has proved invaluable since its launch a few years ago.
