Gilmore hooks Red Emperor but can he net the votes?
As Labour leader Eamon Gilmore was presented with a pair of the fish at Cork’s English Market yesterday, the similarities with his own political persona would not have been lost on him.
Mr Gilmore has come from nowhere in the past 22 months to establish himself as the most popular and trusted of all the party leaders, according to the opinion polls.
