Faith more important ‘in crisis’

FAITH is becoming increasingly important to people as the economic crisis deepens, the organiser of a spiritual conference in Co Kerry has said.

Tom McAuliffe, organiser of the Faith Love Hope seminar taking place in Castleisland today, said he has seen a “stark increase” in people attending prayer meetings recently looking for support and advice.

The seminar, which will deal with addiction, suicide, relationships, faith in challenging times and coping with unemployment, was a response to challenges faced by communities in these difficult times.
