Mother urges donations as young organ recipient turns 3

ELIZABETH MURPHY who received a liver transplant when she was just four and a half months old will celebrate her third birthday this Easter.

Her mother, Suzie from Ballyboughal, Co Dublin, said Elizabeth had simply answered “anything pink” when asked she wanted for her birthday.

Elizabeth was born in April 2006 with a rare liver disease that was diagnosed when she was just eight weeks old. At first her parents thought she had breast-feeding jaundice.
