FINE GAEL will assemble for its parliamentary party today determined to put on a brave face after last week’s gathering provoked uproar.

During the meeting Lucinda Creighton TD stormed out after a comment from party leader Enda Kenny which she perceived as patronising. And Galway East TD Ulick Burke criticised the party’s communications strategy.

However, the party’s finance spokesman Richard Bruton yesterday attempted to pour cold water on the spat and said there was no unrest in Fine Gael.
