Former rally driver claims for damages in apartment deal

THE High Court is to hear an assessment of a claim for damages due to former rally driver Rosemary Smith over the size of an apartment provided for her in an agreement where she vacated her former family home.

Mr Justice Liam McKechnie, who last year ruled there had been a breach of an agreement granting her lifelong rent-free accommodation of a studio apartment in a Dublin sports centre at Blackglen Road, Sandyford, Dublin, said yesterday he will hear the damages matter in May.

The case centred on an agreement between Ms Smith and Albert Gubay, and his company.
