OSCAR-winning Irish musician Glen Hansard is in mourning after the funeral of his father, James, in Dublin.

The frontman of The Frames, who came to international attention when he starred in the low- budget film Once, buried his father at the Church of Our Lady of Consolation in Donnycarney, Dublin, yesterday.

The 39-year-old was joined at the ceremony by his brother, his mother Catherine, relatives and members of The Frames.
