THE murders of three security officers in Northern Ireland were “an affront” to the values of every community that seeks peace, US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton has said.

Ms Clinton rejected the use of the term “dissidents” to describe the Real IRA and Continuity IRA paramilitaries who carried out the attacks.

“Not dissidents. I’m all in favour of dissidents. I’m not in favour of criminals,” she said.
