Car chase after man robs 8 women at knifepoint

A MAN was arrested by gardaí after robbing up to eight women at knifepoint and driving a stolen car at high speed across south Dublin.

The shocking crime spree left the women badly shaken. While they were not physically injured, they were said to be traumatised by the attacks.

The drama began on Wednesday night in Walkinstown, south Dublin, when a man from neighbouring Drimnagh targeted women in the area. Experienced gardaí said they were concerned at the incident saying they had not had such a series of violent burglaries in some time.
