More than 1,600 apply for 35 jobs in Parcel Link

MORE than 1,600 people have applied for 35 new jobs announced in north Cork yesterday.

Scottish-based international delivery firm Parcel Link confirmed that it is setting up a e1.4 million distribution hub on Mallow’s Limerick Road with operations due to start on March 20.

It ordered 22 new Mercedes vans yesterday and will immediately employ 35 people — van drivers, warehouse operatives and administrative staff — with a further 10 jobs to be created in the coming weeks.
