BIFFOBAMA exploded onto the internet last night as Brian Cowen’s website was rewired by the mastermind behind Barack Obama’s landmark download campaign.

Dismissed by opponents as an analogue politician in a digital age, the Taoiseach proved that while Transport 21 may be in tatters, he is still determined to roar down the information superhighway.

Well, sort of. While Fianna Fáil’s new site — revamped by Barack’s man Joe Rospars — lacks the social networking element that helped Mr Obama raise half a billion dollars via the web and inspire a generation, screen surfers can now thrill to the prospect of watching the leading soldier of destiny answer their pre-sent questions via video.
