O’Rourke contradicts Tánaiste on public funds

TÁNAISTE Mary Coughlan insisted yesterday the public finances were “under control”, only to be contradicted within hours by a member of her own party.

Asked if she agreed with Ms Coughlan, Fianna Fáil TD Mary O’Rourke replied: “Not at all.

“We’re embarked on a five-year plan of pain and that’s the plainest way I can describe it...” Ms O’Rourke told Newstalk radio station.
