‘John 3:7’ puts his faith in striking Cork hurlers

GOD’S messenger at all big GAA games yesterday came down on the side of the striking Cork hurlers.

Frank Hogan, who for over 25 years has held aloft his biblical “John 3:7” sign on terraces around the country said: “If the Cork hurlers go on strike they are automatically right. They are such a great bunch of men and so dedicated to Cork and to hurling. They are the nicest guys you could meet.”

Frank, 70, who lives in Castletroy, Limerick, said he missed last Sunday’s protest march in Cork as his “John 3:7” sign was in Dublin.
