Chamber organises ‘think tank’ for state firms involved in job creation
A spokesperson said the aim of the information session is to open up new channels with private sector people with business ideas. The meeting will be held at the Shannon Shamrock Hotel on Thursday, February 26, from 7.30am to 9.30am.
Shannon Chamber’s interim chief executive Helen Downes said: “Shannon Chamber’s role is to represent business, in the good and bad times. Shannon Development, Enterprise Ireland, Fás, Clare County Enterprise Board and Clare Local Development Company have agreed to participate and outline the range of support and assistance available to start-up enterprise.
Ms Downes said: “An information session of this nature helps reduce the time spent collating the data required to make such a life-changing decision. While a chamber of commerce does not provide monetary assistance to business, it can help in other supportive ways; this breakfast seminar is one such example. We hope it will, in some way, alleviate some of the uncertainty which people may now find themselves...”
