Limerick drug pusher dubbed ‘Deals on Wheel’ gets six-year jail term

A LIMERICK drug pusher dubbed “Deals on Wheels” — because he cycled around on a mountain bike delivering, cocaine and cannabis — was yesterday jailed for six years at Limerick Circuit Court.

Noel Purcell, 36, with an address at 56 Shanabooly Road, Ballynanty, pleaded guilty to having cocaine, cannabis and cannabis resin with a street value of €54,600 for sale or supply.

He also admitted having unlawful possession of an Austrian made Glock 9mm semi-automatic hand gun, a US made .357 Ruger Magnum revolver, a Knall pistol, which could only fire blanks, 65 bullets and 14 shotgun cartridges.
