Ecstasy probe trio released
About 100,000 tablets, with a street value of about €1 million, was uncovered in finds in an affluent area of south Dublin.
Two women, aged 20 and 61, and one man, aged 23, were arrested by member of the Blackrock Drugs Unit in a planned operation.
Gardaí searched a car in Cabinteely and carried out a follow-up search of an apartment in Killiney.
Gardaí also recovered cannabis and cocaine with a combined street value of €100,000.
The three people were released without charge on Saturday and a file is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions.
In a separate operation, three people were still being questioned in Wexford yesterday following another drugs haul last Friday.
Two men, aged 37 and 38, and one woman, aged 33, were arrested during a search of a house in the Mulrankin area of Bridgetown. Gardaí recovered cannabis and cocaine with a combined estimated street value of €180,000.
In a separate Garda operation, a man continued to be questioned yesterday about a firearms and drugs haul in Co Meath. Two men, both in their late 20s, were arrested after gardaí searched a house in Navan and recovered 12 shotguns and one high powered rifle.
They also seized cannabis resin estimated to have a street value of €80,000.
Gardaí suspect the firearms may be among a cache of 30 legal firearms stolen last month from a rural firearms dealer in south Tipperary.
One of the men arrested was released yesterday.
