UP TO €30,000 worth of jewellery was stolen when three masked men raided a Co Kerry jewellers in broad daylight on a busy shopping street yesterday.

The men entered John Ross Jewellers, on Castle Street, Tralee, at about 10.35am, and used an iron bar to smash open a glass display case containing a large amount of rings.

Having grabbed the jewellery the men ran to a waiting car a short distance away in Denny Street.
