SIPTU members ballot on Aviance rescue plan to save 150 jobs

SIPTU members at Aviance are to ballot on rescue proposals to save 150 jobs at the company’s Irish operation in Dublin airport.

This decision was reached following a three-hour meeting last evening when cost-cutting measures were presented to the workforce.

Siptu organiser Dermot O’Loughlin said he was hopeful that, given the difficult trading environment in the aviation industry, members would accept the changes.
