A LEADING publican criticised Enterprise Minister Mary Coughlan for standing by and allowing the country’s oldest brewery to close.

Finbarr O’Shea, who has since 1979 owned and run Cork’s Flying Enterprise Bar just across the river from Beamish & Crawford, said the Competition Authority should also be held responsible.

“There is no way the brewery should have been left go like this,” he said.
