THE Government is actively encouraging other EU member states to isolate Ireland following the rejection of the Lisbon treaty, according to no campaigner and Libertas leader Declan Ganley.

The millionaire businessman told a special Oireachtas committee examining Ireland’s future in Europe that their work was “just a game” and “a charade” to walk Ireland into a second referendum on the Lisbon treaty.

He warned against holding a second referendum, which he said would be rejected, compounding Ireland’s problems in the EU and leading to the collapse of the Irish Government.
