TWO cabinet ministers were last night accused of bickering over greenhouse gas emissions.

Opposition parties seized on a public spat between Environment Minister John Gormley and his agricultural colleague, Brendan Smith, over the best way to tackle carbon pollution.

The row was sparked when Mr Smith told a Teagasc conference that reducing the Irish cattle herd to achieve a reduction in emissions made no global sense.
