Aer Arann seeks 104 redundancies

PILOTS, cabin crew, and engineering and administration staff will all be affected in the breakdown of the 104 redundancies announced by Aer Arann as part of a cost-saving programme.

The airline, which said it intends to focus more on charter flights and leasing its aircraft, is seeking 59 redundancies in operations and 45 in operations and support management areas. The full complement of staff in these areas is 260 and 124 respectively.

The company expects to have the redundancy details finalised by November 19.
