Stars link into bra chain

TV PRESENTER Miriam O’Callaghan and Irish singing stars Mary Black and Dolores Keane have lent their support to a campaign to raise awareness about breast cancer — by donating their bras.

The stars are backing the attempt by two Mayo charities to gather over 120,000 bras to break the world’s longest bra chain record.

Mayo Cancer Support Association, in conjunction with Cancer Care West, aim to gather the bras in an effort to form a chain in excess of 70 miles long. The effort will break the record if it manages to outnumber the previous attempt in Cyprus, when a chain of 114,000 bras were accumulated.
