Number of aggressive illegal evictions on the rise

LIVES are being destroyed due to aggressive illegal evictions, which have risen sharply over the past year, warned housing charity Threshold ahead of its annual report launch today.

Threshold dealt with an average of 10 illegal evictions or threats of eviction each week last year.

And there was a 300% increase in threatened illegal evictions between September 2007 and September of this year.
