‘Out of control’ girl, 12, sent for assessment

THE 12-year-old girl who led Limerick gardaí on a high-speed chase driving a stolen van has been sent for assessment after getting into more trouble.

She was brought before Limerick district court on September 16 when she drove a stolen van through city centre streets at about 4am on September 15.

During the chase she drove through red lights, drove at the wrong side of the road and ignored repeated efforts by pursuing gardaí to stop.
