Kerry fans are still stung after two beatings by Tyrone in the last five years.

The message from Kerry manager Pat O’Shea is understated, but clear: “Over the last number of years, Kerry have probably beaten all the teams there is to beat in the championship — with the exception of Tyrone.’’ Putting manners on Tyrone, who have a mere two All-Ireland titles compared with Kerry’s 35, is probably an even greater motivating factor for the Kingdom than winning three in a row.
