Buddhist monk offers healing for deaf children
Master Yu Dechan claims a high success rate with the esoteric healing technique for deaf, profoundly deaf and no-speech children.
Limerick woman Mary O’Connor who is studying the technique said: “It works best on children, from babies to 13-year-olds, although older children will benefit to some degree. It is important that the children coming for this technique have not had surgery to remove or correct ear parts.
“It is a non-invasive practice, and does not require the children to take any medicine. It can’t harm them and it is free. I realise parents may feel sceptical, or may not want to raise their children’s hopes in case it doesn’t work for them. But parents can just tell their children it’s a special blessing by a visiting monk. There are no religious connotations. Buddhism is a philosophy not a religion.”
She said the children sit comfortably for 45 minutes during the session.
“The results can vary from instant hearing to part return of hearing instantly with further improvements coming in the following weeks.
“There is no need for a further visit but we would always like to hear of any child’s progress.
“Master Yu Dechan Jueren has come to Europe to teach these methods to others so they can go out and cure deaf children.
“If we in Ireland can be open-minded enough to welcome these teachings we can make a huge change in people’s lives,” she said.
The healing session takes place in the Clarion Hotel.
