A HUGE demand for places at the University of Limerick has resulted in 29 courses having access points raised.

Commenting on the CAO results, UL president Professor Don Barry said: “Over 50% of our existing programmes increased or maintained their entry standards in comparison with last year’s points.

“Against a backdrop of a national drop in points in some areas we are particularly happy with the strong performance of ICT programmes at UL.
