Mobile phone most used communication device

MOBILE phones continue to be the most used communications device among Irish consumers with 31% of Irish adults relying solely on them instead of landlines, according to a Comreg survey.

The study found that nearly three times as many people are using 3G mobile phones compared to the end of 2006.

Both Vodafone and O2 have lost mobile market share in last six months, Meteor continues to increase and now has a 23% market share.
