A NEWLY formed community council in Adare met last night to commence work on a significant submission to a draft development plan for the picturesque tourist village.

The 16-member community council was elected last month to formulate a plan for the development of the village.

Elected pubic representatives are seeking a rezoning of more land for development but Limerick Co Council planners are opposed to turning agricultural land into proposed housing schemes.
