Lotto syndicate in no hurry to collect €19m

IRELAND’S newest Lotto millionaires confirmed their massive €19 million win but still had no concrete plans for collecting their cheque.

The 15 work colleagues and one former colleague from the Dan Morrissey Ltd quarry and concrete plant at Bennekerry, Carlow, were awaiting the return of two of the group from holidays abroad last night before making any arrangements.

“We’re meeting later on and we’ll talk about it then,” was all a delighted syndicate member Pat Kearns would divulge before thanking all the well-wishers who had contacted the group to congratulate them on their good fortune.
